Related to each other?
Down And Out In Beverly Hills was the first “R” rated movie I saw as a kid courtesy of a hot, but clearly unprincipled, babysitter. The film tells the story of bum named Jerry Baskin who gets taken in by a family in Beverly Hills after they save him from the bottom of their swimming pool.
I loved that movie and have been meaning to bump it up on my “re-watch” list.
Anyway, this leads me to my very important question… Is this man pictured in the above right, the real life Jerry Baskin but without wit, knowledge or charm?
Check out this video he made us…
It doesn’t really matter that he didn’t get a single fact straight. My favorite part is when he equates us to Allen Funt, one of my comedy heroes, thinking it’s an insult.
So, back to my question. If he is related to Jerry Baskin, should we take him to the Beverly Center and spend a couple grand on him at Kenneth Cole? If security is an issue I’m sure we could sneak him into the Ralph Lauren section at Bloomingdales if we wrapped him in a potato sack.
Truth be told, I’ve already made this offer and he ignored it. Which, quite frankly, is like a man on fire running straight past a swimming pool. Fair enough.
Anyway, this post is just for fun. The other day I learned Jerry was censoring many of the comments from his video so we needed to give people a safe haven to have their say.

Wow, I’m surprised that guy has enough guts to show his face on youtube. Or maybe his eyes are as messed up as his teeth… anyway, I get the feeling he’s just trying to catch a ride with the paultelner bus. He probably saw the What The Buck show promoting ApauledTV and thought he could scrape up a little attention for himself by mentioning PaulT in his vlog.
His first five tags include “ApauledTV, PaulTelner, Paultblog, Paul Telner.” But despite his efforts, it looks like his desperate attempt at getting attention has failed since he currently only has 362 views.

ha, i also saw that movie when i was very young. i remember the moment jerry eats dog food from their kitchen floor as one of the funniest things my seven-year-old eyes had ever seen. p.s. your evil plan to wreck youtube will never succeed as long as jerry is on the case.
